Remote monitoring and control of Power Factor Correction systems
KRL Kontrol has implemented the KRL Watchdog remote monitoring system, which provides remote monitoring and control of industrial phase repair equipment, over a two-year development period. The new product meets the requirements of the modern age and promotes digitalization in the PFC system market. The development included the creation of KRL Watchdog's web-based software, which was accompanied by a mobile application. Customers operating PFC systems will thus be able to remotely monitor equipment by checking data in real-time. Users can be immediately notified of any fault signals, thus avoiding energy losses and wasted energy costs associated with PFC system failures.
With this development, the Hungarian PFC industry has entered a new era and is supporting Industry 4.0 efforts.

Technical specifications
At the heart of the system is the WD Communication Module, which captures data inside the PFC system and transmits it to the WD cloud over an encrypted channel. The communication module is connected to the network via Ethernet or GSM.
Thanks to the cloud-based technology, users can access the data and signals measured by the PFC system anywhere, anytime.
The customer experience is completed in the KRL Watchdog web-based software. Once logged in, they can check the results of the PFC system in a clean, user-friendly interface.
We have also developed a mobile phone and tablet app for the system, which can be downloaded free for Android and iOS devices.
